There can be quite a lot of translating to do, especially if you have many services, categories, and staff members that all need translating into different languages. That’s why it’s handy to be able to share a specific language’s translation page directly with your translator, without having to give them full access to your SalonLife account.

Why Is This Useful?

By sharing the page with a translator, they can:

  • See only the translations they need for one specific language.
  • Add and edit text with limited access (they have no access to any of your other data).
  • Translate text directly inside SalonLife, so it arrives faster and with fewer errors.
TIP:
‍
If you haven’t added the language you want under translations yet, add it first — then you can bring in a translator for that language, who’ll enter the translations directly into the system.

How Do You Share Translations?

Here are the steps for making your translation page available to a translator via a link:

  1. Open the “Translations” app.
Go to Apps and select Translations.
  2. Choose the language you want to share.
Find the language your translator will be working on in the list (e.g. Finnish, Russian, English, etc.).
  3. Click the “Settings” button.
The options on each language’s row may vary, but be sure to look for the Settings button.
  4. Use the “Give Translator Access” feature.
Under settings, you’ll find a button or link that lets you copy a special web link. From then on, this link only gives access to that one language’s translation page.
  5. Copy the special link and share it with your translator.
    - Click Copy Link, which copies the link.
    - Send the link on to your translator (e.g. by email, message, or another channel).nt e-posti, sõnumi või muu kanali kaudu).
  6. Make sure the access works.
If you like, try opening the link in a different browser to confirm the translator only sees the translation page for the chosen language.

What Does the Translator See?

A common question is what view opens up for the translator. Since access is limited to one specific language, the translator can enter and edit translations and save their changes. Every other SalonLife app and setting stays hidden from them.

Sharing translator access saves you both time and effort. You never have to share your personal account access or settings, while your collaborator can conveniently translate your text directly in the system. Give this simple solution a try and make your online booking page even more accessible to speakers of other languages!
