Collecting client information right in the online booking process helps you provide better service and keep all the information you need conveniently in one place. Besides the client’s name and contact details, you can decide for yourself what additional information to collect-for example, their date of birth, or more specific details about the client’s preferences. Below is a short overview of setting up different fields and what they offer.
Setting Up Client Info in Preferences

- Open "Online Booking" from the Apps page.
Go to the Apps page and select Online Booking. - Go to the "Preferences" section.
Find the Preferences subsection and click it. - Find "Client Info" in the options that open.
Under Client Info, you’ll see the fields that are already turned on, and you can add new ones.
- Turn useful client info fields on or off (for example: phone number, email address, etc.).
- Set which fields are required (it’s always a good idea to ask for an email address, so you can send clients automatic email notifications).
Additional Fields and Useful Examples

You can create separate fields to get more detailed information about clients.
For example:
- Birthday (date field)
- Additional Info - a place where the client can note their preferences before booking (especially useful when clients have special requirements or additional questions).
TIP:
If you collect clients' birthdays, you can automatically send birthday greetings or special offers if you’d like, boosting client loyalty.
Confirming Booking Terms

If needed, you can make your booking terms available to clients before they book:
- Turn on Booking Terms.
- Click Edit to add or change the content of the terms.
- Click Save & Close to save your changes.
Once the terms are added, the client has to confirm them with a checkbox when choosing a time through the online booking link.
Saving Your Changes
After turning on the fields you need and entering the text, click Save and Close at the bottom of the page. The changes take effect immediately, and everyone booking from then on will see the fields you’ve added. They’ll need to fill in required fields, while "optional" fields are up to the client.
Collecting client info in online booking lets you get in touch with a client if needed, and gather the information you need before the service even takes place. The more thought you put into setting up your fields, the more useful information you’ll gather to give your clients an even more memorable experience.
