If your salon operates at more than one address, or you want to keep different locations’ details conveniently in one place, you’re in the right spot. We’ll share tips on setting up your configuration, adding staff, and getting a full picture of what billing options are available in SalonLife. Let’s get straight into it!

1. Multiple Salon Locations

In SalonLife, you can add multiple salon locations, so you can bring all your work together into one system in real time and keep every location’s activity organized. Managing multiple salons or studios is especially useful when:

  • Staff members are split across different addresses.
  • You want to keep each location’s calendar separate, while still having a single system for statistics and reporting.
  • Each location has its own details (address, contact info), and settings are easy to update.

Here’s how to create a new location:

  1. Open Apps in SalonLife and go to Account & Settings.
  2. Select Multiple Salon Locations.
  3. Add a new location by clicking the green plus sign and filling in the required fields. Enter the salon name and mark whether:
    • the new salon belongs to the same chain (i.e. same salon name, but at a different address).
    • it’s a completely separate salon.
If you add a salon in the same chain, clients can choose which address they want to book at when they book online. If you add a separate new salon, it gets its own booking link, unconnected to the previous salon.
    ‍
  4. Save your changes and adjust staff preferences if needed (who works at which location).
    ‍

2. Billing for Multiple Salon Locations

The most convenient way to handle billing is through the salon’s “SalonLife Billing” feature, where you can:

  • Manage whether the plan is paid for by an individual or a business.
  • Add a payment method (bank card, etc.) and decide how plan fees are covered.
  • Track which location’s service fees (or other charges) are already paid, or still pending.
  • Top up credit if you want to pre-fund SMS messages or other paid features.

Although every location you add is tied to the same owner account, each salon gets its own account with its own calendar, settings, notifications, and booking management.

This means every location has independent settings and operations that can be managed separately. For each salon, you’ll also need to set billing and plan preferences and enter payment method details, in addition to the general settings.

3. Tips for Everyday Use

  1. Keep staff scheduling clear. If a staff member works at more than one salon, it’s a good idea to specify exactly which location they’re working at, and when, while building their schedule. Make sure the same staff member’s working days and hours are only open at one salon at a time. That way, you avoid a situation where the calendar shows a staff member in two places at once. This helps prevent confusion when managing bookings, the calendar, and notifications, and keeps things running smoothly.‍
  2. Keep an eye on detailed salon reports
Use the “Statistics and Reports” feature to review your salon’s overall financial activity: you get a detailed view of a single location, or all your locations combined.‍
  3. Turn on notifications
“Automatic Notifications” let you send both emails and SMS messages to clients when needed. That way, you can make sure every location’s clients get the right information at the right time.‍
  4. Keep location details up to date
If you’ve added several addresses, make sure the details (opening hours, contact info, etc.) are always accurate. That keeps things clear for staff, clients, and billing alike.
  5. Switch between salon views using the quick selector. Click your profile picture, and from the menu that opens, you can jump straight to another location’s salon view.

Adding multiple salon locations makes life easier as a salon owner. On one hand, it’s convenient to manage different settings across your calendar, staff, and services; on the other, it’s simple to switch from one salon’s view to another to see upcoming bookings, the client list, and much more.
