When managing bookings, situations can come up where a client wants to change their appointment but hasn’t found a new time that works yet. In that case, there’s no need to cancel the booking-you can put it "on hold" for a short time instead. This keeps that time available in the calendar for new bookings, while letting you quickly drag the on-hold booking back into the calendar at a new time whenever you need to.
Putting a Booking On Hold
_2520(1).png)
- Open the booking in the Calendar that you want to put on hold.
- Find the three-bar III button on the top right bar and click the Put on Hold feature.
- The booking is now on hold, and its time has been freed up in the calendar.
Once a booking is "on hold," its time automatically becomes available in the calendar for new clients.
TIP:
Next to the "On Hold" button on the purple bar, a number in a white circle shows how many bookings are currently on hold.
Moving a Booking Back Into the Calendar

- Open the On Hold feature again from the same purple bar.
- Drag the booking to the time you want in the calendar.
- Confirm that you want to bring the booking back into the calendar.
The booking is now active again, and its status and selected services stay exactly the same as before.
Why Is This Useful?
- You don’t have to delete the booking or its data entirely.
- The time frees up in the calendar for new clients.
- The booking can easily be restored once the client finds a new time that works.
Putting a booking "on hold" keeps your salon work flexible and helps avoid situations where booking history gets canceled prematurely. Try this option next time a client needs more time to choose a new appointment!
