With the SalonLife calendar, you can clearly set your workdays and days off. Here you’ll find steps and tips for creating a schedule, adjusting times, and making sure the right days are visible for booking.

Setting up your work schedule helps you:

  • Manage bookings - you can set exactly when your workday starts and ends.
  • Avoid confusion - clients only see the times and days that are open for booking.
  • Save time - once your schedule is set up, you can quickly copy it to other days.

Setting a Workday: Three Simple Ways

1) Dragging

__wf_reserved_inherit
  1. Open the Calendar.
  2. Find the date you want to turn into a workday.
  3. Click and drag with your mouse (on a mobile device, hold your finger down and drag) from the highlighted time range to the start and end time you want for the day.
  4. If needed, adjust-drag the day’s start and end times more precisely, choosing, say, 08:00-15:00 or whatever suits you.
    ‍
TIP:
By dragging the start or end of a workday, you can conveniently change what time the day starts and ends.

2) The "Mark as Workday" Button

  1. Click the date you want in the calendar view.
  2. Select Mark as Workday from the menu that opens.
  3. The workday automatically opens with the hours set in your Base Schedule setting (e.g., 08:00-18:00).

If you’ve already set your preferred workday range in your base work schedule settings, the Calendar uses that as the basis for the start and end time. You’ll find a more detailed overview of the base work schedule in a separate article.

3) Double-Clicking (or Double-Tapping)

  1. Double-click (or double-tap on a mobile device) the blank area in the calendar where the day hasn’t been opened yet.
  2. This activates the day with the default hours saved in your base work schedule.

Changing an Open Workday

If a day is already in the work schedule, you can move its hours around at any time.

  1. Drag the day’s start or end time to the time you want (for example, 09:00-17:00).
  2. Save the change, and the Calendar automatically updates your day plan.

Marking a Workday as a Day Off

If you want to turn an already-activated workday back into a day off:

  1. Click the date you want (that’s already open).
  2. When clicking the date, select Make Day Off.
  3. The workday closes in the calendar, so the working hours disappear from the schedule for that date, and clients can no longer book appointments on that day.

Entering Workdays Faster

If you want to quickly copy workdays for a longer period, use the copy feature (found in the calendar view). There’s a guide to this in a separate article. This way, you can quickly copy a single day’s or a week’s schedule to the following weeks or months too.
‍

 TIP:
‍
Use the copy feature so you don’t spend time opening every workday one by one.

In SalonLife, setting up your work schedule is simple and flexible. You can set a workday’s start and end time yourself, mark a day as active or off, and quickly carry the same schedule over to other dates if needed. This way, you always have a clear picture of when you’re available to clients and when you can keep time for yourself.
