Deleting bookings from the SalonLife calendar is simple, but it’s worth keeping in mind that no booking can ever be removed from the system 100%. This is intentional, to protect your bookings from things like accidental deletion. This way, you always have a good overview of every booking that’s ever been created.

Below, you’ll find instructions on how to remove a booking from the calendar using the ''Canceled'' status. Then we’ll go over how the list of past bookings stays available to you.

Why Can’t a Booking Be Fully Deleted in SalonLife?

Every booking that’s ever been entered into the calendar always stays in the system. This lets you check at any time who booked a service at your salon and when, and who canceled one. This helps prevent potential misunderstandings and ensures a more accurate overview and history for every client.

TIP:
If it looks like a booking has accidentally "disappeared" from the calendar, it’s worth first going to the "Bookings" page and using the search if needed. You’ll likely find the booking there quickly.

How to Cancel a Booking

  1. Open your Calendar in SalonLife, where your active bookings are shown.
  2. Find the booking and click it.
  3. In the window that opens, click the Change Status button from the options at the top.
  4. Set the booking’s status to Canceled.
  5. Confirm the change if the system asks you to.


As a result, the booking "disappears" from the calendar right away, and the time frees up for other clients. At the same time, the canceled booking always stays on the "Bookings" page, so you can look at the details later or check the booking history if needed.

Where Do Canceled Bookings Go?

You’ll find canceled bookings:

  • Under the Bookings menu option
  • Using the search function, by entering the client’s name or other known information into the search field

This way, you can easily review past bookings again at any time, if needed.

Good to know:
No one, including the salon administrator or a colleague, can fully remove old bookings, so your data is protected and can be checked at any time.

In SalonLife, these bookings never disappear from the system for good-every canceled appointment stays on the Booking History page, so you always have a complete overview of everything that’s happened in your calendar.
