In SalonLife, you can hide services that you don’t want to show clients in online booking. At the same time, you can keep the option to add these hidden services to the calendar manually yourself. Below you’ll find a step-by-step guide to setting this up.
Why Hide a Service?
Salons sometimes have additional or special-purpose services that they’d rather not display publicly. For example, this could be an exclusive treatment that needs a separate consultation, or an entirely internal-use procedure. SalonLife lets you set, for each service, whether it’s visible in online booking or not.
How Do You Hide a Service in Online Booking?

- Go to "Apps" and open the "Services" page
Go to the Apps view, where you can select the Services subpage. - Choose the right service
On the Services page, you’ll find a list of all your existing services. Find the service you want to hide. - Open the service info
Next to the service name is an Info button — click it to open the service’s detail view. - Click "Show More"
The service detail view has a section that’s initially collapsed. Use the Show More button to open the more detailed settings. - Choose the right service status
The Status field has three options:- Active - the service is also visible in online booking.
- Disabled - the service isn’t visible in online bookings, and you can’t add it to the calendar yourself either.
- Active, but not available in online booking - the client can’t find the service through online booking, but you can still add it to the calendar manually.
- Save your changes
Make the appropriate choice and click Save and Close to save your changes. The hidden service will no longer be shown in online booking, but will remain available to you for creating manual bookings.
TIP:
If you want to temporarily stop showing a service but keep all its data intact, Active, but not available in online booking is the best choice. This keeps the service available to you in the calendar while preventing clients from accidentally booking it through online booking.
And that’s it — your service is now hidden from online booking. This way, you can flexibly decide at any time which services to display and which to keep more private, while still keeping the full ability to add any service to the calendar manually.
