No. Turning on a prepayment requirement doesn’t apply retroactively.

How Does the Prepayment Requirement Actually Work?

Once you turn on the prepayment requirement, it only applies to:

• new bookings the client makes through online booking
• new bookings you add to the calendar yourself
• any booking created after the setting is turned on

Any future bookings that were already in the calendar before you turned on the prepayment requirement stay unaffected by it.

What if I Want to Ask for Prepayment on Earlier Bookings Too?

If you’d like, you can also send a payment link manually to clients with existing bookings, so they can pay the prepayment that way.

This gives you the flexibility to:
• avoid automatically changing terms after the fact
• still ask for prepayment whenever you feel it’s needed

You’ll find a more detailed guide on sending payment links in a separate article.

Good to Know!

• A prepayment requirement doesn’t automatically change existing agreements with clients
• New rules always apply going forward
• A payment link lets you handle exceptions manually and flexibly
