Here’s how to send emails through Mailchimp:

  1. Go to the Apps -> Integrations page in SalonLife.
  2. Click Connect next to Mailchimp.‍
  3. Log in to your Mailchimp account (if you don’t have one yet, create one — it takes a couple of minutes).
  4. After connecting SalonLife and logging into Mailchimp, select Create in the top-left corner of Mailchimp, then Email.
  5. Add a Campaign name (e.g. "ABC Beauty Salon Newsletter - June").
  6. The email creation page opens.‍
  7. "To" — your SalonLife client base should already be active (it shows how many recipients there would be). If you’d like, you can still edit the newsletter’s recipient segment (Edit Recipients).‍
  8. Under "From", enter the name and email address you want the newsletter to be sent from.‍
  9. "Subject" is the newsletter’s subject line, or headline. Think about what would appeal to your clients most. You can leave "Preview text" blank if you’d like.‍
  10. Under "Content", click "Design Email". You can choose the template your email is built on (for example, if you also want to add images/logos/media, pick a design from the "Featured" category. If you want to send a very plain email, choose something from the "Basic" category instead).
  11. After choosing a design (clicking on it), the email opens with sample content, which you can then start editing.
  12. Once the email is ready, click Continue in the top-right corner.
  13. You’ll land back on the email overview, where you can also click Send a Test Email under "Content" to see how the email will look for clients.
  14. If everything checks out and the email is ready, click Send in the top-right corner, or Schedule instead if you want to send it at a specific time later.
