Although SalonLife isn’t available as a separate downloadable app in Google Play or the App Store, it’s fully optimized to work equally well on a computer, phone, or tablet.
As an alternative, most beauty professionals add SalonLife to their phone’s Home Screen as a Shortcut. This creates what looks like an app icon on your phone’s home screen, taking you straight to the calendar with one tap and offering the same fast, convenient experience as an app.
On Android, here’s what to do:
- Open Chrome.
- Go to the SalonLife homepage (or go straight to https://app.salon.life/login).
- Log in to your account (also check the boxes for Remember me and Save my password).
- Once you reach your calendar page, check that the URL in your browser is https://app.salon.life/home
- Then look at the top right corner of the screen, where you’ll find a three-dot button. Click it.
- From the menu that opens, select Add to Home Screen.
- Enter a name such as "SalonLife" and click Add.
And that should land SalonLife’s "app" right on your phone’s home screen.
On Apple devices, here’s what to do:
- Open Safari.
- Go to the SalonLife homepage (or go straight to https://app.salon.life/login).
- Log in to your account (also check the boxes for Remember me and Save my password).
- Once you reach your calendar page, check that the URL in your browser is https://app.salon.life/home
- Then look at the bottom of the Safari browser, where you’ll find a square button with an arrow coming out of it in the middle (the Share button).
- From the menu that opens, select Add to Home Screen.
- Enter a name such as "SalonLife" and click Add
And now, the SalonLife icon should appear on your phone’s home screen in the same way.
