Gift cards are a great way to give your clients extra value and delight them with a flexible gifting option. Clients can use a gift card exactly the way they want. In the guide below, we’ll show you step by step how to create and issue gift cards in SalonLife.

Creating a Gift Card

  1. Open the Apps page, then select Gift Cards.

  2. If you haven’t created a gift card yet, click Add New and set:    
    • Gift card name
    • Validity period (if needed)
    • Any other important details (such as price or value).
  3. Save the new gift card’s settings.

Once a gift card has been created, you can always come back to it and follow the steps below.

Issuing Options

  1. Download the PDF File    
    • Open Gift Cards and click the name of the gift card you created.
    • From the top menu, select Design.
    • Download the gift card as a PDF.
    • If you like, print it out and hand it to the client.

  2. Send by Email    
    • Open Gift Cards and click the name of the gift card you created.
    • From the top menu, select Design.
    • Click Send to Client.  
      • If the client is already in your database, you can select them from the search.
      • If needed, you can update or add their details.
    • Click Send to send the gift card straight to their inbox.
     
TIP:
If you want to change the email’s content, go to Apps → Email Notifications and look for the gift card notification. There you can change both the email’s content and its notification settings.


Issuing a gift card from the SalonLife system is a simple, convenient way to give clients a flexible option for using your salon’s services or products.

In the Design view, you can choose whether to print the gift card (PDF) yourself or send it straight to the client by email. You can also personalize the automatic email notification to match your salon’s branding. That way, you keep your clients happy and make gifting even easier!
