Copying services is very handy when you need to create several similar services that only differ from each other in price, duration, or name. That way you don’t have to start from scratch-you can quickly duplicate an existing service instead.

Why Might Copying a Service Be Useful?

  • You have a lot of similar services that only differ in a short description, duration, or price.
  • You want to save time and avoid filling in the same information over and over by hand.
  • Quick duplication helps avoid mistakes, since you don’t have to re-enter the base settings.
TIP:
Use copying whenever you need to add new services that are essentially the same but with small changes (e.g., a different duration or price).

  1. Open the Apps page
Go to the Apps page from the top menu and select Services.
  2. Select the service to copy
Find the service you want to re-create. You’ll see a three-dot button on the service’s row.
  3. Click the three-dot button
A dropdown menu opens; select Create Similar Service from it.
  4. Edit the service’s details
    • Name: change the service title to whatever fits (e.g., "Women’s Haircut - Medium-Length Hair").
    • Price: change it if needed (e.g., €35).
    • Duration: if the time needed differs from the original service, add a new duration.
  5. Save the new service
Once all the service’s fields are set the way you want, click Create Service.
  6. Check staff settings
For the newly created service, check whether it’s marked active for all the staff members you want.

A Real-World Example

Let’s say your salon offers women’s haircuts, with services that differ by the client’s hair length. If you already have, say:

  • "Women’s Haircut - Long Hair"
  • "Women’s Haircut - Short Hair"

… then by copying the original service, you can just as easily create "Women’s Haircut - Medium-Length Hair," changing only the name and price. Added with just a few clicks, the new service appears in the full service list, in the same categories as the existing ones.

Frequently Asked Question

Does copying also duplicate all the service’s settings (e.g., descriptions or additional parameters)?
Yes, the new service is created with the same settings as the original. You can change them later if needed.

The copy feature helps you save valuable time and makes adding services easier.
